UNSOUND SYSTEM PLAYS BARGROOVES
Date: Saturday 28 July 2007
It’s that time of the month. The night when the Soul Candi crew come down to Fuel Café and join Unsound System for an evening of impulsive pulses and heads-down hedonism. This time round they’re showcasing the eclectic Bargroove series, bringing its soul-shaking flavour to the floor.
With a series of compilations that span everything from Old Skool Hip-Hop to sunshine House and Italo-Disco, Bargrooves has built up a committed group of devoted fans who appreciate the eclectic range of artists who appear on each release. You’ll hear the diverse sounds of everyone from Kirk Degiorgio, Bob Sinclar, Trentemøller and Ian Pooley to Sugarhill Gang, De La Soul, N.W.A., Jungle Brothers and Run DMC. So expect it all, and expect the best of it.
Representing Soul Candi is the chameleonic Kid Fonque, Jozi’s finest purveyor of slow burning, foot-stomping tunes. He’ll be spinning his magic alongside regular rhythm-rousers Offbeat and Dexterity, going one-on-one with both. It’s pure party pleasures for your personal enjoyment.
